Thanks and congrats to all who made it out this Saturday for the O-meet. There were 54 people out on the course to enjoy a brisk, but sunny day at Sommer Park.
First off an extra special thanks to Fred Glueck for joining me for many hikes to create the course, set controls, and pick up controls. Thank also to: Britt Mason for vetting the course; Mike and Pam Duncan for their help with setup/tear down, registration, and snack donations; Beth Haynes for setting controls; Rachel Furman for providing race starts; Cory Mason, Sabina Hlinenska, and Mike Contratto for picking up controls; Scott Fredrickson for managing the new e-Punch system.
As you may have noticed IRVOC rolled out changes at this meet. We have a new registration form, with a different looking pricing structure, and a VERY exciting new electronic punch system that will record splits between each control, with an instant printout for you to take home with you. If you didn't have time to try it out at this meet, next month's meet will be operating 100% on the e-punch system. This is very slick and an exciting advancement for IRVOC.
